motivation

A couple of months ago, we came across DiabetesMine’s design challenge contest on diabetes and got excited about designing a product for well being of millions of people around the world. This excitement has become a real motive for us and led us to develop a design concept called typeME, an interactive system for kids and teenagers with diabetes.

We are a design team at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, working on “Living Well With Diabetes”, a new generation of products and services for young people with diabetes.  Our goal is to make diabetes products that serve the specific needs of pre-teens and teenagers — especially as they begin to take charge of their own care.
